CNO plans Simple sketch visualising the observatory shed with the support structure for the roll-off roof.

CNO plans Due to the terraced nature of the building site, the construction of a solid base was required to ensure that the building floor be level. The accompanying drawing markes the placement of the supporting posts for the shed's base and the roll-off roof structure. The arrow points at the hole for the concrete foundation of the steel pier.

CNO plans Initial sketches for the steel pier and an adapter plate to connect to a Meade Ultra-Wedge.

The observatory shed is a standard wooden garden shed with colour steel roof, built and supplied by Fencescape of Petone. The measurements of the chosen "Dunstan" model are 2.70 m by 2.79 m with a wall height of 1.80 m. More information on Fencescape sheds are available at this web site:
